Since I was in High School, the sport of running has played a major role in my life, as it has helped me become both a stronger person and better athlete, as well as taught me the importance of staying in good shape. For this post, I will be sharing a brief history of photos that document my running experience throughout these last couple of years.
I began my running career as a Freshman in High School when I joined the Moon Tigers Cross Country team. The picture above shows me keeping a good form as I run to the finish in a meet against the Hopewell Vikings during my Junior year. Taken on September 26th, 2017.
Along with Cross Country, I also ran distance for my High School's Track and Field team. I remained with both sports for the entire four years I was there, and made multiple improvements with each season. The picture above shows me sprinting to the finish as I complete the last lap of an 800 meter run. Taken on March 14th, 2019.
After High School ended, I continued my career and began participating in street races, which are typically held on closed roads. The picture above shows me smiling for the camera shortly after I finished running a 5K race at a local Church in my hometown of Moon, where I ended up winning a 3rd place medal for the Male 15-19 group. Taken on November 14th, 2020.
Earlier this year, I was asked to take over the role of President for the Run Club at SRU, a recreational/competitive club sports team. The picture above shows me at the involvement fair earlier this month, where I am advertising the club. On both sides of me are the other two Presidents, Zach Kolesar and Kaitlyn Begmann, and on the far right are our PR Director, Colton Trush, and Treasurer, Thomas Abraham. Taken on August 31st, 2021.
The picture above shows me, kneeling at the bottom, with the Run Club at our first official meeting of the year, where we ended up with a grand total of nearly thirty new members, setting us off to a great start. Taken on September 8th, 2021.
