The Slippery Rock Mascot, better known as Rocky, serves as one of the biggest icons of this University, representing both the school itself and the community it is named after.
For my timeline, I have decided to cover the history of Rocky, and focus on his history from past to present, including the origins of how the idea for him came to be, who created him, the numerous changes that have been made to him over the years, and most importantly, why he has had such a lasting impact on the SRU students.
I personally feel that learning about this topic could potentially be a very fun experience, as I have already looked into it in the past, and think that a lot of people might find it interesting to know just how far the Rocky Mascot has come, as well as the story behind his existence, as from what I have gathered, there is actually a lot to it, and in my opinion, believe that it should be known about.
